It's just a ploughed field, railway lines and a dual carriageway.

It needs something to brighten it up a bit. A nice green field with white lines on it would be a start.

Preston. It always rains there and it comes down diagonally, relentlessly, jaggedly spirit-crushingly hard.

I lived there for three years and would sooner eat my own buttocks than live there again.

A pub in Watford just before an Albion game at Vicarage Road one Christmas.

The final straw was when I had to dodge the dog shit on the floor of the khasi.

Horley, it's full of bleak and depressing dark brown buildings and the people wear what looks like ugly second hand 1980s clothes donated to them by charity. A very deprived socio-economic town.

I've been to Port Talbot today, and that takes some beating.:(

I agree, but at least it's convenient for the M4 - and a quick escape.

Pontypridd or Ebbw Vale on a drizzly Sunday in November are right up (or down) there too.

Fulking - lived there for a while. Boring & depressing - couldn't stand it so moved to London.

Rosyth in Scotland, always raining, always depressing.

The headline: Fulking Hell -- Fran heads off to London.

Sofia Bulgaria in 1992 was pretty depressing. Lots of burnt-out cars at the side of the road, regular power-cuts, little food in the shops and restaurants.
