they do say a glass of red wine a day is actually good for your health, lots of anti-oxidants and can help against heart problems (probably good stress reliever too but dangerous to highlight that).

i've also read that beer, the ales not lager, is pretty much the same containing lots of nutritiously good components (fibre, vitamins, minerals).

If you are talking calorie wise, its probably Gin and slimline tonic

Isn't there something in gin and tonic that deters mosquitos, hence it becoming a favourite in far flung and tropical places during the time of the British Empire.

I always thought that Guinness was supposed to be good for you because of the amount of iron in it.

Quinine, I think; not to deter mosquitoes but as a natural protection against the malaria parasite.

I had a part time job in a hospital when I was at uni, handing out meals being one of the things I did. Once there was a four pack of Guiness on top of the meal trolley. For one of the patients. Doctor'S orders.

My mum got prescribed Guiness when she was pregnant with me. I began life how I have carried on.

I have a feeling that Quinine is no longer used in tonic water. Do like a nice G&T personally, as a long drink, lots of ice, lots of tonic & a lump of lemon.

I drink vodka lime and soda. Not sure how healthy it is but it must be alot healthier than downing pints of Lager.

Squeezy lime or poury lime? As squeezy lime must be better for you.
