What's the descriptive word for snow?

If it's "Pissing Down" when it's raining which is liquid then surely it's "Shitting Down" when it comes to snow cos it's solids?

At times like these one should always reach for the latest edition of Rogers Profanisaurus. I did and see no reference at all to snow or it's descriptive word. Although there does seem to be numerous references to council gritters for some reason.
