I don't bet that often and usually a couple of quid max.
Biggest bet was £20 on a 3 team accy that won (made a profit last season)
Best win was £97 for a pound on an accy a few years ago.
Nearly won about a grand on a 17 team accy from a £2 stake - the only team to let me down was Brazil who lost in a qualifying game to Bolivia

I was stupid enough to get involved with a horsing racing tipster and they called me one day with a cert and asked me to put on £700 for them and if horse lost I would get my money back. The horse came last and I had put £500 off my own money on as well and when I called them up they were all full of shit so drove to horsham and was shocked to find their address was a po box in the a shop.
The trading standards got involved and it was those con brothers that were in the argus the other week never got a penny back. But how stupid was I  the name was Tony Chapman racing

Way out west
Bet on two horses in the national some years ago, my outlay was £4 plus tax, one of them came third...my winnings left me 10p up...hardly a life changing experience.

Had a day at the Chelts races and won around £20 on the last two races, on each-way bets, leaving me pretty much level for the day.

Somewhere over there...
£800 on Barcelona to score first goal in a League game a few years ago, they drew 0-0. To be fair though, I think I only lost £10-20 because the £800 was all winnings from a day of Team to score next goal betting.

£5 on the Albion to win when we played Cheltenham away 2 or 3 seasons ago.

1 nil up then we conceded 2 in injury time.

Have never bet on the Albion since as I blame myself for jinxing the result.

Now bet on Palace or Gillingham to win (no more than £1, mind) to spread that jinx around a bit.
