I went to watch the original 'Ring' at the Duke of Yorks knitting nothing about it. I genuinely thought the film had ended before the final scene, and thought it was pretty good. Then the final scene happened.

I had a moment of 'I could do better'
It appears not.
I came to the conclusion it needs to have a 'Bond'.
I deliberated through the entire back catalogue and came to the conclusion the Bond film my list needs is:-

The Bourne Identity, or Supremacy or Ultimatum - Not bothered which!
I too like the Bourne films. But your goal is to find great film endings, and you've unnecessarily limited yourself to a group of action movies you like. Thankfully you've come to NSC, and I'm sure some of the film buffs here will give you some great endings to consider.

Nah I've not explained myself well.

Bourne surprised me by finding a place in my top 5 ever films.
That in turn caused me to watch Ultimatum, this morning.
Naturally I'm then reminded as to just how cool the ending is, fantastic wry smile.
Begging the question of this thread

Fair enough. I guess that overall, having just watched the film, you felt that the ending was excellent. IMO, when it's posted in a short youtube clip, the 'oo is he dead?' bit detracts from it.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Time to die.

The much maligned Cruising with AL PACHINO, plays a cop hunting a serial killer in the gay community only to realise at the end it’s him!

The Usual Suspects " flip ' or twist is definitely one of the best. Worthy mentions also to The Village and the Sixth Sense.

As for complete and utter rubbish twists that will you leave you shouting WTF may I suggest you seriously avoid ' Jacobs Ladder' with Tim Robbins and also Matthew McConaughey in ' Serenity'.

Sure the plot is mad but the actual final scene riding off into the sunset is one of the most beautiful you will ever see committed to film anywhere.
