Changes almost daily for me, right now, though, it's this from the late 80s.

Supreme pedantry alert. Never and Always is a great song, but it was not on The World by Storm album (not the UK version of it at least). It was released as a 12" single about a year later (1987).

Their gig at the Escape (?) in about 1987 was among the best I ever saw in Brighton.

I can only think of that and The Sound Of The Underground. Think it was by Girls Aloud.

So probably the Jam one.

Ah but you're forgetting the Wombles theme tune, that gets my vote.

Hell, I didn't upload the youtube video, just linked to it. I have that 1987 12".

I think a bit of Wario Stadium (MK64) was underground. Cracking track, that.

I don't know what underground is. But then I lost track of music genres back in the days of house and garage.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that underground music is music nobody else has heard of so it is obviously cool to like it.

For me music falls into 2 genres:
Music that I like
Music that I don't like

and perhaps a third genre of "music that I immediately turn off if I hear it on the radio" e.g. Kings of Leon or U2.

I am sure we will all agree it has to be this. From that lovely human being Jamiroquai. Really feel at the end of this song why some people choose to live underground.

personally would love to go on the moscow/pyonyang underground

the athens one is the most impressive one ive been on so far. the paris metro is disgusting, last time i was on it, i saw some old woman have a piss against one of the railings on the train, and no one did a thing like it happens all the time
