Don't just skip this, read it first.
Lucy the Pianist won a competion a couple of years ago. She was 13 and blind.
Fast forward and recently Debbie Wiseman was on Jeremy Vine and knocked up a few bars of music on a piano.
Later that tune was finished and has been recorded by now 15 yo Lucy. She learnt it by following someone elses fingers on the keys.
Now you know the story, listen. This song had me in tears, it is so beautiful.

And the full story is here. Listen from 1:38:30

Yes, it is derivative, and it manipulates with nostalgia, but I've played The Heavy Heavy album, One of a Kind, several times since I first heard it a couple of days ago, and it is also addictive. It has great singing, playing and '60s sounding production, and the tunes do the job. It has helped remove a very irritating ear worm that I've been singing in my head on awaking for about a week (I'm looking at you, Chappell Roan.)

Anyway, The Heavy Heavy are based in Brighton apparently. Anyone know them?

Exquisite and delicious shoegaze, with triumphant euphoric guitar hook and key change to die for.
