The Oasis fervour provided a mental link to Verve for me this morning, another band whose debut album i thought excellent and unmatched by later releases. This is from an earlier EP but this Glastonbury performance i thought was excellent. There's a clipped version on Youtube that is from MTV, that i remember watching, with Paul King as presenter (remember him). Anyrate, love this

This kind of song got me into music at a very young age 6 or 7 , listening to my dads records by Johnny Cash & Marty Robbins at the time westerns were on tv on Saturday mornings, a story to song, a lesson, a moral, never judge a book by its cover, there is a reason why people are like they are and why we make mistakes.

as I grew older, it was not a massive leap from country to rockabilly and then psychobilly, like this that nods back to country occasionally
