A blast from the past popped up on the car's iPod today. A great unrecognized British talent, Pete Wylie:bowdown:

I know that they're huge and one of the last songs I posted was one of theirs but what a band foo fighters could have been if he Dave hadn't gone done the sugar coated production, mainstream crowd pleasing root.

This is such a great track, from a band from my 'not listening to new music' years. It has all my favourite things in it. Especially the back-masking at the end. Very emotional indeed.

Brighton factually.....
As I’m approaching another birthday, I’m playing stuff from my youth that started me on my journey.
My dad for all his faults knew music was important and that I loved Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, etc.
came home one day and gave me a single, and said you will like this.
The rest is history

Wow that's brilliant. Mick Karn's bass playing especially. RIP.

One of several bands I obsessed over when I was living in Canada and homesick (for London culture). Japan, Cocteau Twins, Comat Angels, SPK, Portion Control, Danse Society, Legendary Pink Dots, Chris and Cosey, and so on.
