Was having a little play about on my keyboard yesterday and found a nice chord/ melody thing .... Then realised I was doing a John Lewis Christmas version of one of the most perfect songs ever recorded.

So good, so very good. (Not me, my playing is shit)

Saw this pair back in 1992 at the Brixton Academy as it was back then.

Had just met Mrs Jakarta and was tempted to buy her a ticket as well until I saw her CD Collection and didn't think she would get them (I'm talking Phil Collins etc.)

Mrs T reminds me that the vocal here was stolen from one of my favourite films starring Ewar Woowoo.

Tremendous!

I may have posted the Lo Borges original on here before, but today I heard this version on my favourite jazz station, and it is gorgeous.

This one, takes a while to get going but always brings a tear to my eyes when I hear it. Mum and Dad been gone a while now, but when he sings didn't have a care in the world, Mother and Daddy standing by, well.....

I had no idea that this was co written with Bruce Hornsby until I checked just now, always assumed it was a Don Henley song, fabulous but for me Don Henley owns it
