Love Billy Boy…
this is him and his dad

no fancy video, but boy, it sounds simple, not fancy, but timeless…
my last day on this planet, I want to sit on a veranda, and listen to shit like this looking at the Arizona sky
Great combo - so tight!

Have a piece of Arizona Sky

Me, I think I would rather be driving down Route 58 in my final days in one of these:

Just realised that should read Route 55 above not 58 (from Memphis to New Orleans) - clearly too pissed to drive!)!

all Three great.

Think the Psychobilly version just tops it just for sheer energy and rhythm (although probably not while driving, I’d be likely to get a speeding ticket ) but, yes, all 3 work for me.

I prefer to go back to the source for Baby, Please Don't Go

Except Muddy Waters isn’t the source - it’s trad blues song covered by numerous bands and musicians but it was Big Joe Williams who made the song widely known about 20 years earlier than MW!

I prefer it to the Muddy Waters cover - it has a much rawer and more authentic Delta Blues sound to me (if that’s what you’re looking for)

Fell into a De/Vision wormhole this morning.

This is absolutely gorgeous. Such a joy to sing along with this when I saw them live. Great vid too. The instrumental break around four minutes is to die for

With George’s iconic guitar riffs and the fantastic Billy Preston providing some complimentary ad lib runs on electric keys and John’s cri de coeur vocals, I think this live version of Don’t Let Me Down from the last public performance of the Fab Four on the rooftop of Apple Studios in 1969, probably ranks as one of the most underrated of Beatles songs ever recorded (imo!)
