As Mrs Jakarta and I are seeing a performance of La Traviata streamed from Sydney in West Chiltington Village Hall this Friday Evening thought I would check out this Verdi bloke...

12 quid a ticket is a bit cheaper than Glyndbourne and I don't have to dust off my dinner jacket. :lolol:

West Chiltington Village Hall: iconic venue. I recall seeing Mudhoney there back in the day. Insane night!

I've heard quite a few Pink Floyd tribute bands over the years and some are very good, but 'Brit Floyd' take it to a whole new level. This version of "Us And Them" is stunning, with a special mention to the Sax player, I think his name is Carl Brunsdon.

Listened to Radio 2 for the first time in yonks this morning and heard two beautifully written/sung tracks:
Why (Annie Lennox)
The Living Years (Mike & The Mechanics)

No idea how to upload them.

Edit: just found this so I'm changing my pick. This is the track of the last year for me, and sums up my feelings during lockdown. Startling and lovely and heart breaking.
