Just been watching George Ezra’s End To End documentary film on Netflix and heard a beautiful and haunting version of The Water is Wide playing in the background as Ezra arrives on the shores of Loch Lomond. The singer on the film has an great voice and may even be someone from the local area but if anyone knows who it is, pray tell!
In the meantime Mary Black has a good a voice as any (although the Scots might object to an Irish lady singing a traditional Scottish song )
Just watched Classic Albums on Sky Arts and it reminded me of just how good this album was and how brilliant the lyrics are. Roger Waters and the others at their zenith. Sadly this track was a nod to Syd according to Waters
