I was going to go with the Theme from MoTD but this suits my happy state of mind. I saw Jim Lauderdale at The Anchor at Barcombe in about 2006 when Mike Lance couldn't promote any gigs at The Greys pub or had moved on or something. Either way he put on a few shows there instead where I saw Jim, who I consider a proper country singer and songwriter. Bit of a coup for a country pub. This is on my signed CD.
I've recently started buying a bit of Latin American music. It's good to have on whilst working as I don't know any Spanish, so can't be distracted by lyrics. This is on a compilation of Cuban Salsa: It's mad in a brilliant way. Groovy salsa percussion, screeching horns, Starsky & Hutch guitars and mad electronic piano/organ riffing. All with someone shouting Taka Taka Ta! all the way through. No idea what it means, but it sounds like a good time.
