Massive hit from The Hollies in 1974, for a while back in the 60's, they were bigger than The Beatles, with good reason. They were an excellent band with superb close harmonies and the distinctive voice of lead singer Alan Clarke, I think they are still going to this day. Founder member Graham Nash left them in 1969 and became became part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and performed at Woodstock the same year.
Allan Clarke is my next door neighbour, still looks pretty good at 78.
How cool is that, if he was my next door neighbour I'd be a complete pain in the arse bending his ear whenever I saw him, he'd probably move!
Yes, he's a very private guy, they were still touring up to a few years ago.
