I'd never heard this until about 4 years ago. I was sitting in my car waiting for my daughter, this came on the radio, daughter gets in the car and asks whats wrong with my eyes, "Oh just a bit of hay fever"............sniff. One of the most beautiful songs I've heard Kate Bush sing.

I'm going with this today. One of my favourite artists and arguably the most obscure till Taylor Swift covered this one. Dreamy and evocative.

That immediately takes me back to my days at Varndean, I would have been about 15. A lad brought in a copy soon after it came out and whirled around like a dervish to the piano break. Episodic memory is a wonderful thing. I even remember the lady's name after all this time and as usual, the record label:D

I remember watching this episode of Parkinson that this clip comes from when it was first broadcast back in 1980. Larry Adler and Itzhak Perlman hadn't rehearsed this together it was totally spontaneous. I'm a lover of George Gershwins music so I'm a bit biased, but I would like to think that anyone who likes music of any genre can appreciate the beauty of this little clip.

Very uplifting from the Flower of Scotland themselves........I was going to post Move On Up by Curtis Mayfield but in searching for the You Tube recording I stumbled across this gem.......
