Honestly, 14 years ago I remember listening to N-Dubz, Chip & Tinchy Stryder. As much as I loved U.K Hip-Hop I knew it would never be a mainstream genre. I couldn't see a future where it would ever be a big, influential type of music.
In about 2017 I realised it had reached a level I didn't think it would. U.K Hip-Hop had reached it's pinacle.
2018 bettered that.
2019 bettered 2018.
2020... It's been the biggest jump yet.
I know a lot of people that fall in to the NSC demographic won't listen or care for such an 'urban' genre of music but honestly the quality and quantity of rappers this country is producing is incredible to see. There are genuinely brilliant songs being released on an almost weekly basis. I could spam this thread every week but I try to contain myself.
