Just heard this belter, Steve Grimmett, reuniting with old Grim Reaper mucker Nick Bowcott and his current bassist and session drummer to record a lockdown version of Heaven& Hell.

I've fallen into a Margaret Glaspy Youtube hole since hearing that track I posted. She's really good.

Yes indeed, my first introduction into music was listening to my dads country albums like Marty Robbins & Jimmy Driftwood, as I grew I needed the speed, and rockabilly was the natural stepping stone, towards psychobilly, I’ve always liked roots music in America from Rockin Blues, Bluegrass, Hillbilly, not so much the old stuff, but the new spin that is now evident in many bands from Hank 111 through to death county like Honky Tonk Hustlers and Detroit’s Goddamn Gallows, Bob Wayne is also great along with this fella, simple plain guts driven music....

Amazing how you can end up in YouTube rabbit holes.

I started off playing the JD Twitch mix someone posted on the mixes thread which has a track by Shante from the Juice Crew in, which then led me into an old school hip hop rabbit hole (perhaps subliminally influenced by having watched that Apple + Beasties film the other day) ending in a classic old diss track taking aim at Shante and the Juice Crew.

Yes, I'm bored.

In hell I'll be in good company. Really liked that. Never heard of The Dead South before, but they're definitely on the list now. Great video really lifts the music off the screen although I couldn't shake the Cossack influence - unless that's just me!

The Dead South in my view have some consistently good songs, they are I beleive from Canada.

This is my current favourite of theirs,
