Hendrix did mellow as well as his trademark guitar stuff. This is fabulous, so much better than all the cover versions it inspired. I can’t actually find a genuine Hendrix version on Youtube surprisingly, just lots of wanabee Hendrix covers....they are all shit!

My 60th today, should have been in a Boultbee Spitfire from Goodwood above West Sussex, had to make do with sorting a Simulator Session and then Pub Lunch with Mrs Jakarta near the Airfield.

Happily we were overflown by a Spitfire around 13.30, no idea where he was off to but I'm going to be up there in 2021!

Anyway going through pressies & cards while listening to Manchester's Finest...

Poor old Vini is pretty well gone but wasn't he great when he was here?

Yes.

Whenever I think of patriotism I think of this track.

My country
My class
Poor people
Old people
No health care
Young people
Cut education
Black people
Discrimination
Gay people
Legislation
My country
Will you ever recover

Just watched the intriguing 3 parter on the Beeb about naughty Dr Shipman.

This stunning (or as one YouTube comment put it 'music orgasm') piece of work was played over and over as a score.
