I wonder if you've watched the Jerk recently I also thought it was great in the 80s but so dated now ( I started a thread recently called FILMS YOU USED TO LOVE BUT NOW FIND MEH!!!) the jerk popped up a few times as did a few other films on this thread

No, haven't seen it for years so you might be right and I'd find it disappointing now. Having said that, I laughed longer and harder at the "kitten juggling" bit than almost anything I've ever seen.

BTW - just seen it was made in 1979 so it's not eligible for this thread anyway....

Instead I'll throw in Repo Man which is not strictly in the comedy genre but is very funny all the same.

Great shout. A hidden gem. From the opening salvo of the Rezillos through to Auld lang Syme via bananarama singing No Feelings loved every minute. Great cast and amazing soundtrack although you do need a certain level of immaturity to appreciate it!
