Whats that in the background ?

When on holiday in Wales last month I took some snaps of my granddaughter on a loverly beach near Tenby. Looking at 2 of the pictures taken 3 seconds apart it looks like there's a sharks fin in the background.
I'm sure there's someone on NSC who is a angler or knows about fish could identify what it is.

This. We used to see them quite often when I lived in Cornwall.

well this is a pic of the fin of a basking shark that would break the surface as they feed its very similar in shape to your photo so the odds are it is a basking shark.

Used to see them a lot as a lad when the west pier was still open,havnt seen any for years and years. i remember they showed up 4 summers on the trot a large group then nothing for years. Fantastic creatures
