They might as well hand over the Bafta's now. It's brilliantly written and superbly acted.
I'm finding it very disturbing and I'm sure the Northern Ireland Tourism Board won't be sharing any snippets in their advertising campaigns.

It's well worth a watch and very thought provoking.

Blue Lights.

Belfast set police drama.

One of the most compelling British dramas I’ve seen in ages.

And what a cast


Martin McCaan
The sublime Richard Dormer
John Lynch
And the rather lovely Sian Brooke.
Among others.

It’s got just the right combo of action, intrigue, drama, heartbreak and comedy.

I really can recommend it and at 6 episodes it doesn’t outstay it’s welcome.

I hope it gets a second series .

 myself and mrs V just finished watching Rain Dogs , a black comedy/social satire..shocking in places but brilliant overall.

Can't wait for this, The Gallows Pole. Based on the book by Benjamin Myers, Shane Meadows has adapted the remarkable true story of the rise of David Hartley and the Cragg Vale Coiners. Set in the moorland hills of 18th Century Yorkshire, the drama follows the enigmatic David Hartley played by Michael Socha, as he assembles a gang of weavers and land-workers to embark upon a revolutionary criminal enterprise that will capsize the economy and become the biggest fraud in British history.

Also starring are Sophie McShera who plays Grace, with Thomas Turgoose as William Hartley, Yusra Warsama as Bethsheba, Anthony Welsh as Abe Oldfield, Samuel Edward-Cook as Isaac Hartley, Joe Sproulle as Joe, and Adam Fogerty as James Broadbent, Nicole Barber-Lane as Susie, Fine Time Fontayne as Joseph Broadbent, with Ralph Ineson as The Clothier.

The first series of Guilt was enjoyable. Watched it a while ago, We just spotted series 2 and 3 on iplayer and are a few episodes in. Taking a while to warm to it this time as the story is complicated. You have to give these things a chance though.
