Boybands Forever is a terrific , moving documentary at times and doesn't shy away from conflict or the negatives. It also has the best opening to a music documentary in quite a while.

... and don't forget BBC Sounds if you want to enjoy something while resting your eyes.

There are quite a few (though not all) Radio 4 comedy programmes that I enjoy. Sometimes I even make it to the end of the programme without falling asleep!

Thanks for the recommendation, it was great! Funny as, just wished it had ended slightly differently or went on to a second series.
There is a second series. Started a couple of days ago. Only 8 episodes in total but each one about five minutes longer...

Bit old now so many will have seen, but after Slow Horses I fancies some more Spy gubbins so watched "The Night Manager" t'was quite entertaining. I'd not watched it fo whatever reason when it was on.

Icons of Football - 'How some of Scottish football's biggest stars made their names on and off the pitch.'

If the rest if the series lives up to S1E1 Charlie Nicholas then it will be a rare treat indeed. Only mild criticism I'd make is to would have been nice if they didn't show him scoring against Partick Thistle quite so often

Hope I'm not rubbing salt in the wound, but didn't Billy Connolly say that when he was growing up he thought the name of his local team was "Partick Thistle Nil" ???

The BBC has announced a new Gaelic-language crime drama, An t-Eilean (The Island).

The Beeb describes the series as, ‘a tense, twisting story of lies, loss and long-buried secrets’, and the murder mystery is set against the elemental backdrop of the Western Isles of Scotland. An t-Eilean (The Island), which combines Gaelic dialogue with English, and will air in early 2025 on BBC ALBA, BBC iPlayer and BBC Four.

Sorcha Groundsell leads the cast as Kat Crichton, a young Family Liaison Officer, assigned to investigate the brutal murder of the wife of a local tycoon at a remote island mansion. She stars alongside Sagar Radia (Industry) who plays her boss, DCI Ahmed Halim. The murder investigation unravels on the island of Lewis and Harris, from where Kat mysteriously fled ten years previously.

There's a great 150 minute compilation of rare performances from top artists in the Music section of iPlayer. We fast-forwarded through a fair bit of it, but there are some real gems in there.
