What's going thru James Wilsons mind now...

Man Utd fans thinking that he's the man to save their season is as delusional as if a BHA fan thought that Harper was the man to fire us to the PL. They will most likely be lining up a big name signing for Jan, and not relying on a talented, but untried and inexperienced, 20 year old.

Man U already have lots of very good attackers. The only possibility of a recall would be if LVG were to be sacked, or if they suffered a really serious injury crisis over the next couple of weeks.

Very much this.

A friend of mine (real United fan of over 40 years standing) keeps saying that he is better off with us- scoring goals regularly and having crucial game time.

surely a James Wilson banging in the goals for us is EXACTLY what United want to see and even more reason why they would be willing to let him stay here?

i doubt he is hearing let alone caring about gossip, he's going to know far more about the situation with Man U than us either way. he has perform in training and score goals at the weekend, then he'll cement his place in our team, and possibly Man U's team next yea. i rather hope he stops here, and scores against them in our Man U away fixture... :)

Man United's problem certainly isn't a lack of attacking talent. Wilson is good but they have bags of talent in Martial, Depay, Mata, Herria etc, hell even Rooney. The problem is the fact that they all look knackered and disinterested. And anyone they bring into the fold gets infected with this malaise within a short time. Wilson would be better off away from there

I imagine that someone at Manchester United has been keeping him informed about what their plans might be and I would also imagine that he's been talking with people at the Albion.

I am absolutely certain that no-one at Old Trafford or the Albion is going to be talking to the media or to fans about what is possibly going to happen.

Absolutely. If he's going the club will know about it already, it won't be a case of hauling him off the coach halfway to Brentford.

If Van Gaal got sacked, which he won't, then I can see Wilson being recalled, but otherwise no chance. As others have said he isn't quite good enough yet as last night showed. Far better for him to continue developing for us than be thrown into the limelight as the saviour of Man Utd's goalscoring problems. Van Gaal may be a dick but he isn't stupid. The best thing for Wilson is to stay with us, and therefore assuming Man Utd buy in January then I think we will have Wilson for the whole season. That said I think it is likely that we will throw some cash at another striker anyway.

All a bit irrelevant. No one at Man U is talking about recalling him. It's all totally unsurprising media talk. There is no chance he goes back before the end of January and only then if Man U haven't signed the huge striker transfer they want to.

When he went out on loan to us LVG mentioned straight away that he could be recalled if needed. I think it's a justifiable concern.

I would have thought that if LVG was o recall anybody it would be better to recall Hernandez rather than Wilson but I dont think he will recall either and lose face. He woyld rather pay £20 and bring a striker in. Silly suggestion for them perhaps but Adebayor would score goals for them and only cost wages

Only to placate the very poor reaction from United fans to him going out on loan. No one since. I'm sure he'll be asked again in a press conference if United continue to struggle scoring goals, however, he clearly isn't ready for consistent PL football (as last night showed). LVG wouldn't have sent him out when they only have two strikers otherwise.

Hernandez isn't on loan.

Why would Manure be recalling Wilson in January, when they're signing Neymar and Ronaldo? :wrong::shootself

Was a bit annoyed that Sky spoke a lot during the game about the possibility of him being recalled - gave it a lot of publicity :(

Was listening on R5 live and they annoyed me by praising everything ex premier league QPR did as class whilst everything we did was "lucky" or unplanned.

Claridge was very impressed with Bruno though.
