You have also overlooked those that believe that half time is 25 mins, given that they leave their seats on 40 mins and return on 50 mins. I am therefore hoping for an Albion 4-0 win with the goals coming in 44th, 46th, 89th and 91st minute.

As I've said before, we just have to accept there are two types of people who come to watch the Albion. Die hard who go to support and get behind the team and will stay til whatever hour the team are still on the pitch, and those who go to football passively and see it as entertainment.

And there's nothing more entertaining than a late twist, as Saturday proved. The best way for the disappointing exodus to stop is for Albion to keep serving up last ditch drama. If nothing else, it's satisfying for those of us who stick around and support the players regardless of the score or getting in half an hour later.

Seems strange that no one can accept that a passionate, committed. lifelong Albion fan might still choose to leave early. For some reason they're always seen as 'plastic' fans when they get up and depart before the final whistle.

However, just to be on the safe side, I'd just like to add that I'm certainly NOT in the group of people who leave before the end; London-bound or not.

Whatever the score, I shall be disappearing down the exit as soon as the whistle goes. School night for the youngster! (of course, heaven forbid we are 4-0 down with 10 minutes to go I might just leave a fraction earlier!!1

Exactly! I'll be home around midnight as it is, which is tough on the boy on a school night, but that can't become 12.30 or 1am simply to keep some people on here happy, who don't like seeing empty seats at the end.

It's a shame the ratio is about 5000 to 20000

imagine if we'd played at home on Saturday. Tragic consequences for the early leavers.

It's funny how leaving Withdean early never got you labelled as anything like that

At the Goldstone, they opened the gates when there was 20 minutes left of the match. People would come in. Who'd have thought it?

I used to turn up at half time on a college night and enter free of charge. If I came in at the south west corner, I could even sneak into the south stand seats.
