What you really want is for us to lose, so Micky gets the sack?

We have tough games coming up. We have had the easy games and lost them all.

Northampton - Home - 3 points a must, not a draw Adams
Walsall - Away - loss likely
Leeds United - Home - draw at best
Cheltenham Town - Away - relegation battle - draw at best
Leicester City - Away - best side in league, definate loss
Hartlepool United - Home - beaten us and scored 6 in 2 games, draw
Peterborough United - Home - loss likely against one of the better teams
Hereford United - Away - relegation battle - draw at best

8 games - 7 points ?

Yep....looks about right to me....damage will be well and truly done by then.
Still got away games v Millwall, Scunthorpe and MK Dons to follow this lot.
Not looking very good ( still think the Adams apologists are expecting some sort of magical uplift post xmas )

If we win one game, just so that a manager can stay around to lose another 6, then I'd rather we just got it over with asap and get back on track - because this at the moment is OFF the rails.

So yes, I'd rather lose one more game to turn things around quickly.

However, if a win would mark a change in course sustained for the rest of the season and a better future - then that would be a suitable option.

This is all a bit obvious though, so these sort of threads do seem a bit trite imo.

We have no time to play the 'lets give the guy a chance' I am sure it will turn around b*llocks. If we drop a division forget Falmer as that depends on Championship football and in league 2 we won't have enough fans left to fill the dugout let alone a 23k stadium.

MA is on borrowed time if we don't start to pull out of this mess he has to go as we can ill afford to drop out of this division and must avoid that whatever it takes

I could totally understand why an Albion fan would want Brighton to lose today if he thought that contining to keep Micky Adams as manager was detrimental to the long term stability to this club.

It would not make them any less of a fan in my opinion.

I dont want a defeat today, I want a win and an Albion resurgence.

But I also want to be able to reconcile the Israelis and the Palestinians, win the lottery and the opportunity to spend a night with Charlize Theron decked in a furry santa outfit with long black boots and..............well whatever.

no fan should ever want their team to lose doesn't matter what you think of manager or players . always support the team 100% or your not a true fan. MA has been a huge dissapointment so far but so have most of the players but no matter how bad things look moaning on here or at the withdean isn't the answer. i went to tranmere and anybody who was there would say the players are playing for mickey and the team were going for the win just no luck at the moment.. looking forward to this post getting slated...
by the way we will win today

Yep, all those things are possible.

All looking unlikely though, 'fraid.

I think that part of the problem is that people now think that 20 games is 'a fair few' and judge accordingly. We live in an instant world, and expect instant results. More was expected from this season, although personally I was anticipating a top half and ideally sneaking into 6th position rather than a guaranteed playoff/promotion finish.

Micky this season is looking at a 3/10 mark IMO, in terms of his tactical and team decisions, and that is clearly not good. From what I have seen this season we have a decent strike force (when fit), a one dimensional midfield and an error prone defence.

It ain't good, but having watched the Albion for 35 years, I have seen it many times before, and suspect will do so many times in the future too. If you want to see flowing one touch football don't support a nondescript seaside provincial club with a transient fanbase and no football culture embedded in its history.

great post and would agree completely other than 4/10

I think this is what some of you want today.

The thing with that though, is I think most people here realise Knight won't fire Adams if we lose today. Knight is gonna keep Adams in charge as long as he can, either out of loyalty, because of the success Adams had before after a poor start, or out of a desire to save face and avoid admitting making a mistake.

A loss today, so soon after the 'vote of confidence', when the mantra has been 'let's wait until the transfer window' isn't really going to change anything.

So wanting us to lose to get micky fired is a pointless position.
