What would you want Albion to do if leeds get points back

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
If Leeds get back any points our current form and results will not be enough to prevent them leapfrogging us into a better playoff contention.

They are only 2 points behind at present with a far better goal difference.

Also a feature on Gary McAllister in the Guardian today says...

"Bates is currently taking legal advice about Leeds's impending appeal. Expert opinion seems divided as to the likely outcome but a compromise could conceivably be reached whereby Leeds would regain five points.

If this happens we have to finish at least 5th to ensure a playoff place. 6th is not enough given the impending the legal action.

The date for the arbitration hearing is April 14. Don't really understand why the courts are involved - surely as a member of the Football League, Leeds have to abide by the League's rules and if they decide to deduct them 15 points, then that should be it. Unfortunately it's very conceivable that the points reduction will be reduced by enough for them to force their way in to the play-offs, and there's probably bugger all the other clubs can do about it.

Could there be a compromise situation where Leeds are retrospectively docked 10 points instead of 15 ?

This could be on the basis that they were technically still in administration, rather than the 15 point reduction for them coming out of administration without a CVA.

Firstly, I think they should get done for that - bringing the game into disrepute or something like that.

Secondly, I cant see them getting any points back as it will open up all kinds of avenues to complain - especially if the outcome is not for a few weeks. Teams will be saying all kinds of things like "we took our foot of the pedal that game because mathematically Leeds couldn't catch us but we would have played it differently if we knew they were getting points back so we want a rematch"

This may be a bad example but I can see loads of trouble arising if they get ANY points back.

Would be at surprised to see Leeds get some points back if and only if they end up in a play off place.

Like the Tevez situation, I'm sure the league see given Leeds points back at the expense of another club to complicated a situation to comtemplate.
