What a strange poll. Surely if we romp the championship then we be back in the same position a year later? I want the project to be given another couple of years or so, so no relegation for me.

Not necessarily. Most likely it wouldnt be a complete reboot. Look at Burnley, they came up and then went down and came up again, much stronger. Think it will be the case with Norwich next year, they will be no world beaters but better than last season. As long as some continuity is kept, chances are that a season in the Championship is not really a "restart" but just a dip.

In just last 10 years - there’s a long list of clubs who don’t just dip but don’t look like returning any time soon

Birmingham , Blackpool, Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, reading, , Sunderland, boro, Swansea, Stoke, Huddersfield

Cardiff, Hull , Norwich and QPR have all gone back up and then down again a few times - you’d hardly say they reset...

West Ham, Burnley , Wolves, Fulham (multiple times), Villa and Newcastle have all got back but for most part it’s been pretty precarious and not always straight away.

As for Derby, Forest - don’t even start

Going down - maybe ? but I don’t fancy it.

What would you prefer next season? No daft threads like this one after a important win.

To keep building in the Premier League - and not return to relying on good Cup draws to see teams we now take on 12 times a season as (almost) equals.

what i would like TODAY is idiots like you to stop accusing NSC fans of being trolls .it only takes one person to bully another with unfounded malicious comments like that to bring NSC to its knees. Ive read several posts from others on here this year that have resulted in genuine fans leaving the site due to this. ITS CYBER BULLYING - STOP IT NOW!

Oh the drama.

Palace have been in the Premiership 8 seasons and are always flirting with relegation. Hope its not the case with Brighton, but it could be most of the time were here.

Want neither, stay up but learn from the errors of this season.

Decent recruitment in the summer, if we stick with Potter which apparently Bloom is adamant about maybe bring in an experienced EPL asst manager to work with the manager and the existing coaching staff, could it be argued that a number of points have been dropped due to managerial naivety this season?

An old head in the dugout might rectify a lot of that.

What poor form ?

We have not been out of form all season apart from putting the ball in the net !

I still maintain, that it is the lack of fans at the Amex that is the biggest factor.
Setting up to defend all game in an empty stadium is little more than an intense training session.

With 30,000 fans roaring the attacking team on, it's a totally different prospect.

After the win v Southampton our easiest path of least resistance to becoming a top 10 PL team is to get 3 more wins this season. Forget going down as a viable pain free plan.

Next challenge up - beat Newcastle and see how things look from there.

Voted to continue the same "poor form".

But, honestly ... poor form? I'd be perfectly happy if we continued to play the same way we have but our strikers lifted their game (or we buy 1 or 2 instinctive goal scorers over the summer). We are not far away from a side that will compete in the lower end of the top 10. Not far at all.

Bizarre poll, there's so many other options and neither of these fit my Top 3!

the poll was done on the back of three straight defeats, 2 of which we were predicted to win so yes poor form!

Where is the option for landing that elusive striker and challenging top 10?

Given the choice of these two options what would you prefer?

Im still Potter in (just) apart from his Bizarre substitutions at times. But this poll is not about that, its about, regardless of which players or manager we have next season what you would prefer?

I would prefer a poll that didn’t have two such dishonestly biased options, but then as a Palace fan masquerading as a Brighton fan, honesty and impartiality probably isn’t a strong suit of yours.

3 defeats that exactly match what I said in reply. We dominated 2 of those matches and could easily have got something from the other. The only thing we lacked in those matches was finishing.

I'd be far more concerned if we'd stunk up the middle of the pitch and made a bunch of defensive clangers ... but we didn't, so I'm not.

It’s not bizarre. OP is a Palace fan. Been outed before on here, despite his hissy fit earlier in the thread. Those two options have been given deliberately, to troll Brighton supporters.Ridiculous that people are taken in by it.
So when he said "we" he meant Palace and his question was about where we'd prefer palace to be next season ?

In that case the answer is.... down at the foot of the championship.
