And you can't include friends, family or going to watch . I have been in lving in suburban Tokyo 16 years (well f*** me...almost half my life:thud and here is my tuppenceworth, and not necessarily in any particular order.

1.British humour
2.Twiglets
3. Those chewy Texan bars
4. Branston Pickle
5. Heinz Baked Beans
6. Brown sauce (Daddies preferably)
7. Slate grey Victorian skies
8. Cornish pasties and other such culinary delights
9. Christmas

Other than the above I can't say I miss England that much. Last time I arrived back in Blighty for a holiday it took me half a day to find anyone English.

Springs Smoked fish (fulking) Their Smoked Mackeral and Trout are The best
London (the most exciting and vibrant city in the world)
Dollys Pantry (sussex cream teas)
The People (best in world)
A sense of fair play thats missing in many places that I visit
Courtesy and politeness of the people, giving way on the roads is best example, and it's almost exclusive to the UK.

Just check out the Lonely Planet travel guide to Britain, independently written. They always in every guide start off with a "highlights of the country section" and in most guides it amounts to a page or so, but in the Britain guide theres so many that its divided into sections, Cities, National Parks, Historical Sights, etc. Point being, that there is so much that is beautiful and unique about the Uk.

I only wonder why it is lost on so many of our own people
