Seriously though think it's very unreasonable to say something like that, weddings are family occasions. Bit different if he was having it at a strip club or something. Was at a wedding on Saturday and one of the best things (apart from bridesmaids  ) was the whole sense of family about it, you've done the right thing mate.

Its obvious is`nt it.

Because you are a Palace fan and an embarrasment to your family your brother has put you in a difficult position hoping against hope that you don`t turn up so saving himself from further shame because he knows you will turn up in an ill fitting suit and sporting a face full of piercings.

Of course you cannot go now but remember that when your absence is noticed everyone will be saying................ Well would you believe that that awlful Palace chav has`nt even bothered to turn up at his own brothers wedding.

I'm with the don't go mob. I have a brother who is a bit of an arse and he's now pissed off the whole family for a variety of reasons.

I think your broter is very inconsiderate as yes weddings are supposed to be for families. He just wants a piss up, how very mature.

Good choice BR, I would have done the same - you are a family so as a family you should be invited.

Shame on your brother (mind you wish my brother had made the same stance as he is such a prat).

Beside if he cannot speak person to person but use mail then double shame on him.

I am also with the don't go mob. I would also make a point of calling the rest of the family to let them know why you will not be there.

Then for a present I would send a book on family values.
