trouble is i am a big family man and i alway put my kid first and i phoned my brother and told him i would not go to his wedding,the shit has hit the fan and i feel sick for not going but i cannot let my girl down.

Seriously though think it's very unreasonable to say something like that, weddings are family occasions. Bit different if he was having it at a strip club or something. Was at a wedding on Saturday and one of the best things (apart from bridesmaids ) was the whole sense of family about it, you've done the right thing mate.
