Have you seen any of those play this season? Do the coaching staff not see them in training every day?

No obviously not, nobody has, but I think with Dickinson there it would be good to have Tunnicliffes throws for him to feed off. Obviously his defending has to be priority over his attacking strengths though. These are yet to be seen.

Dicker & Davies I saw enough of last season to think that they deserve a place in the starting 11.

And Smith, well I don't need to explain why I think Smith should be in goal do I.

I'm certainly not going to question Slades team selections after 2 games, the above is just the team I would play.

Dickinson Fozzy/Davis

I really liked Navarro. At walsall, he ran about quite a bit, had a good few touches and while his f*** up near the end nearly cost us a goal, I thought he can be a good player for us, plus he's the exact opposite to Murray right now, He looked like he couldn't be arsed whereas navarro looked pleased to just be playing, shouting and whatnot. He sounded like FDM or Forster!

Anyway, thats my team. I think we should try a 3-5-2. Because Slade likes is five man midfeild, and dickinson can't play alone IMO. Because he likes to flick the ball on.

We have played only two games. I am going to get slated for this, but I wouldn't change the midfield around yet.

Last season, we (the majority of fans) blamed our poor form on an unsettled team. Yet this season, we are all calling for the team to be overhaulled after only one league game. I think that perhaps a bit of patience will pay off. The second half against Walsall showed we are capable of playing a bit of football. With Slade's guidance I am sure the team will get there sooner rather than later.

If we change the team around now, we will be back to square one.

The point of pre-season was for Slade and the backroom staff to know their first choice line up and system and have it ready to hit the season running.
Other teams Walsall for example had 5 new players on Saturday as well as selling one of their best players in the Summer and still looked well organised and ready to go.
This bollocks about needing time to gel is crap and we should have been ready on Saturday and that we weren't and looked no better last night means that Bloom must be asking questions already.

We shouldn't be giving teams victories simply because we aren't ready, why aren't we ready ?

I agree with this to be honest after thinking about it. I dont know what Slades training sessions are like but iF anything if it does come down to a bad start to the season, this will mean they will have the rest of the season to play awesome and aim fo the top half of the table!

What we all know aswell is within the next 5 games, we will hopefullybe coming on this board and raving about the regular starting 11

A lot of people are saying we need time for the team to gel will they be saying that in April if we are 4 points outside of a possible promotion having given away so many points during August and September.

You are right there is no point in playing pre season friendlies if you do not learn from them.

Of course we should have used pre-season to gel, but did anyone honestly expect us to win last night? We have had one indifferent performance and one lesson in football from one of the better teams in the league above. It is hardly a disaster yet.

Changing the players every time we lose will give an unsettled team and be just as bad as all the loanees were last season.

I don't understand why Adams got slated for continually tinkering with the team and now Slade is getting attacked for not making changes. I really do not know why anyone would want to be Brighton manager.

If we are outplayed at Brentford, then it would be time to make changes.

Why anyone would have El Abd in the starting line up is totally beyond me:nono:

Simply because he has proved himself on many occassions to be a competant no nonsense defender despite what his knockers on here say.

JW is struggling so to continue playing him is suicidal the only other option we have is to play Whing at left back and El Abd at right back until Jim McNulty is back then let Whing and El Abd fight out the right back position.
