What with the Bin Strike

My wife and I were thinking of coming down to the City this weekend for a day and evening out wandering around reminiscing, you know the sort of stuff.

Well, what with all the rubbish strewn everywhere and no sign of it being moved soon, would you, as residents of this fine city, delay it.

Ta.

Only if you promise to take a few bags of rubbish back with you.....

In theory the strike 'ends' on Thursday night so it may be slightly better by the weekend. Probably not though.

They're working to rule for 3 days before all the drivers go out for a week. There's no chance of it being cleared up in 3 days of work to rule !

Considering it took them 5 weeks and 5 days to empty my bin after 2 days out the last time, I tend to agree.

It is like something from a Delhi slum now. Try Southend instead.

Give Eastbourne a go, you can watch some tennis while you're there.

Take your missus to Heavens Farm and have a picnic by the pond. Very romantic. It is a winner.
