I'll just be hoping that Britain and Brighton don't relegate themselves in the same year. One down...

I won't be focusing on Brexit, that is for sure. I'm fatigued from all the histrionics coming from all sides. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a case of inflicting massive self-harm, but I increasingly find myself wincing almost as much at the rantings of a lot of rabid Remainistas as I do from idiotic Little Englanders. A cuppa, some music and a good book at 11:00 for me.

Yes, almost all of this. It's exactly how I feel about the most divisive and poisonous episode in recent political history. The only difference is that by 11 I will be sound asleep not giving a shit.

I have found the whole Brexit thing so sad never in the history of mankind have a people's voted to make themselves poorer I will just be going to bed and pretending it's not happened

This transfer window appears to be a damp squid I live in hope but not expectation

There was nastiness on both sides as you say, but those people were massively in the minority. Most people, whichever way they voted, wanted what they thought was best for the country/themselves.
I've never understood why some people seem to hate others with different (non extremist) opinions. I have many friends and family that voted remain and I haven't fallen out with one of them. A bit of tongue in cheek teasing of course as I do on here. It's just the extremists that make the most noise.

Transfer window shutting with our club not adding another forward that we desperately need to give us something different compared to what we have already

Hyperbolic nonsense.

If we'd have got rid of Murray you might have had a point but Murray, Maupay and Connolly are different types of players. There are issues in that with the last two you sacrifice height and with Muzza, it's obviously pace. But we have the quick (and not tiny) Andone (injured, so unavailable but was fine when we loaned him out) and strong (but sometimes seemingly not bothered) Locadia still technically on the books of the club. Potter chose not to utilise these two but to (try) and give them game time elsewhere. That's our manager's decision pure and simple.

Naylor's tweet suggests that we are looking for a direct replacement for Murray. That sort of player is not cheap, needs to be exactly right and was not, apparently, available in this window. The fact we look like we're in a relegation scrap may also have put potential candidates off.

Good, big, strong finishers do not grow on trees. The exceptional ones are all out of our price range. But we technically own 5 strikers who all bring something diffferent. If you're going to grizzle then grizzle at previous windows when people said things like "just sign a striker" and "how hard can it be" so we did and ended up with Locadia.

And he never wasn't an Englishman (unless, of course, Diablo you spend your days talking Esperanto, trying to spend Euros in Tesco and refusing to watch international sporting contests as "Europe isn't represented").
