What will happen to Vicente?

To be honest, every time I've seen him play for us has been a total privilege. If it never happens again, then so be it, it was great, especially today. If it does, then that's brilliant, because he's far and away the most gifted player we've ever had.

Hes been on the side line for most of the season and TBH hasnt made much impact to where we are now, Id only want him to stay if its a pay per game contract come waste money offering him 10k+ doing jack.

6 probably 9 points is quite an impact. Probably more of an impact than CMS, but we can't speak bad of CMS can we.

Vicente is in another planet compared to most players i'm this league.

Don't you think he has been then?

of course he has but the point you appear to be missing is that, during the times when Vicente hasn't been playing, we've still had 11 men on the field (red cards ignored). is it totally beyond the realms of possibility that LuaLua (or Noone or Buckley) could have made that run and struck the resulting free kick today? to say that we wouldn't have got a comparable amount of points from those games he has been involved if we'd been forced instead to play without him is stretching the truth a little. of course he's been influential but trying to assign points won to a particular player is pretty, well, pointless.

He scares the shit out of every opposing player which was clear to see today. They couldn't get near him let alone try to get the ball of him. I think he misplaced one pass in the 30 odd minutes that he was on for, unbelievable.

But he scored, and therefore got us the points. You can't say today we looked like we were going to score before he came on!

To be fair, I make it in fifty minutes play or so, two goals and three assists. I hope he stays anyway, at least for another year. And preferably more :thumbsup:

I hope we GET RID of this foreign parasite, how long are we going to have to put up with him milking the club for thousands of pounds and only playing in football matches sometimes.

Vicunte I call him.

Obviously we want him to stay! He has been extremely influential and helped us to get where we are. But what do we think will happen to Vicente come the summer? Will he go back to Spain after having a fantastic cameo season? Will promotion sway him to stay? Or will he stay in England but go to another club?

So what do we think?

:albion2::albion2:

Gus was very non commital about this after the match.

According to Naylor on Twitter, it would appear that Gus has mae him to a "make or break" mini pre-season which would explain his absense from the squad since Liverpool. Hope its true, because with him pulling the strings, the play offs are a cert.

Yeah I read that too. It really shows the determination to succeed at this level with us which is just incredible to hear really. Hopefully he can avoid anymore injuries from now until the end of the season and it could be a very exciting journey!
