They were called 'Communities' rather than houses at my school but these were essentially the same. I was a member of Marconi, with the others being named Branson, Hawking and Dyson.

Lewes, Pevensey, Bramber, Arundel at middle school. (Glebe)

K/M in Secondary School (Kings Manor)

Same, was in Pevensey yellow like my older brother. Saying that although I was in K5, for sports day and inter house tournaments I'm sure they were basque, Brittany and two others ???

Edit: Normandy?, also the year after I left Glebe in 89 the headmaster retired and a new headmistress came in, banned sports day and competitive games and changed the names of the classes from y3,4,5 etc to Rembrandt, Monet, Picasso etc

We didn't have houses at secondary school, but primary school houses were Kingfisher (blue), Pheasant (yellow), Heron (green) and Swan (red).

Swan generally won sod all, Heron were invariably a solid but unspectacular third leaving Kingfisher and Pheasant (Pheasant being the house I was in) to compete for the various prizes.
