Whole day was perfection, right from me assuring my nephew before hand that we would win 3-0 (I did say by H-T), through the most mental celebration yet at the Amex for Spanish's goal, through to my personal highlight, having had a couple of beers in WSU and watched the dripping Palarse be herded down to the station, wnadered down there myself just as it stopped raining to give the Nigels a cheery wave from the ramp down to the Lewes platform.:cheery::salute::bigwave::thumbsup::bla::lolol:

Calde's joyous fist pumping.
That player dribbling the ball straight into touch.
Ulloa's thumping third.
The packed West Upper concourse after the game.

One highlight of the day was after sinking a few beers with my pals we got the train back to Brighton at about 4pm, a group of 4 Palace fans who were not happy were escorted onto the train by the Police – They were taunted the whole way back to Brighton, one in particular (looked like Kurt Cobain) really had the arse and kept trying to confront us (from behind the Police), he was really angry and pissed off but the more he did the more stick he got. Fabulous!

Starting a revolution from my bed
I sit/stand in the North near the back, when we scored the first goal I jumped onto the back of the chair in front of me; I managed to stand on it for a good few seconds enabling me to get a spine-tingling view of the whole North Stand bouncing into bedlam. Would have loved to been able to capture that moment to share with others; it'll live in my mind forever.

I ended up about five rows in front of my normal seat after crowd surfing/chair hopping forwards as well!

Have just watched the highlights, loved seeing Calderon give a little wink after winning the free kick that led to the third goal. It's the day that keeps on giving.

PIG's save from Upson's mistimed header, I though that maybe things were going to go our way.
Spanish Dave's free kick.
The bloke in the train queue who sang to Palace "the wheels on your house go round and round", some of them didn't even react, just looked totally broken and dejected. Which is nice.

Another vote for the second goal. Seemed like ages from when David took his run-up til the moment the ball struck the back of the net. The fact it came so soon after the first goal meant everyone - me included - went absolutely mental in the North Stand. Unbelievable day, truly immense.

Two flocks of what I am convinced were gulls flying directly over our back garden.......in a 'V' formation. It was a strange sight but very poignant. Thought only geese did flew in this manner.

Just beating the scum and seeing all the sorry faces in the away end, knowing that their day was absolutely shit. Loved it.

On the train from HH to Lewes I was surrounded by Palace fans and asked how I thought that we would do my answer was " depends which Brighton team turns up we could win 3 - 0 or just as easily lose 3 - 0 to which they answered you may be lucky and scrape a 1 goal win but you will never score 3. Would love to have bumped into them on the way home.

My boy, Samuel he's 8 and already knows the score with the Palarse...did me proud yesterday, only issue was I nearly threw him into the WSU after Leo's third! Still buzzing more than 24 hours later...is it what they call a 'legal high?'

Superlatives fail me....:ascarf:

Going to Village Way after the game a teenage Palace fan coming out of the south stand saying to his friend If I see anybody in a Blue and White shirt I am going to kick f..k out of them. Old Bill walking behind walked up to him and said "You are not come with me" top marks to plod.

Simply that it was our biggest home league win over Palace for over 30 years. I was there with my Dad then and fortunate enough to be there with him and my nephew yesterday.

All those years of Palace having mainly the better of us just melted away.

The highlight for me was Spanish Dave's free kick. Right in front of us and I will never forget it!!!!!!

So so special. Thank you Dick, Martin, Gus, Charlie, Spanish Dave, Leonardo Ulloa and all the rest of you that made yesterday one of the best in 34 years of watching BHAFC!!!!
