My first proper meal was chicken breasts, butterflied, stuffed with soft cheese, rolled and wrapped in bacon using cocktail sticks to hold together. Looked a right posh meal when served with baby new potatoes and a veg or two. For pudding was a lime and mascarpone torte which was actually a piss easy cheescake when Sainsburys were doing recipe cards.

This was my go to meal when I was serenading the ladies - invite round to mine, bottle or two of chardonnay, Billy Ocean on vinyl, who could resist??

(many many resisted.)

When I was 19 I learned to cook Cheese Pie to woo Mrs Crodo and she still goes mad for it now. Just cooked a big batch to freeze, what was the first thing you learned to cook?

???

Are you at liberty to share your cheese pie recipe or is it a secret?
