my carefully created music cred goes out the window with - Dancing Queen 7" by Abba, when it was in the charts at least, 1975 I believe....

sure its 1976 as this was the number one on the day i got married strangly enough we played Tranmere away on that same day 25 th September.

First record bought was Nights in white satin . Procul Harem

It might have been late '76, as Abba won The Eurovision Song Contest with 'Waterloo' in 1976, in a hall called The Dome, in a little backwater named....Brighton :smile:

Well spotted it was a whiter shade of pale,and it was 40 years ago.

When working, butchers delivery boy on a bike with a big basket in front and a cloth over the meat, would have been either Wake up Little Suzie by King Bros or Diana by Paul Anka not sure which was first.
