Not some classic album like you lot bought FIRST, YEAH RIGHT
No, I think most people are telling the truth as to the first album they ever bought with their own money - those with the embarrassing choices have stayed schtum.

Mind you, if you're going to say what was the first album you had bought FOR you, well yes, then mine was 'The Jungle Book' by the Mike Samms Singers - it was even the original soundtrack!

First single bought for me was 'Right Said Fred' by Bernard Cribbins.

I bought and lost that as well. Those sampler albums were great. I seem to recall "Fill your head with Rock" and "The Rock machine turns you on" were CBS samplers and there was another one called " Bumpers" but I forget which label promoted it.
