Ok. Maybe I’m mixing you up with someone else. I can’t be bothered to check back in the thread. Thought it was you though.

I just looked at Villa's squad for their last three PL games (all wins) - and the starting eleven was identical in each. They made five changes for their Carabo Cup match (v Everton) and their first European fixture - and lost both.

Interesting. Where’s their fatigue?

What worries me is that our play from defence to midfield is predictable....there may be many patterns of play but clever opposition can workout how to block them.
For me our spontaneity is from midfield to attack, there is more freedom in our play there.
We need more spontaneity in how to play out from the back when needed.

A Plan B wouldn’t be a bad thing, would it?
