It depends - Mrs. Sock is a nurse so her shifts impact my sleep.

If she isn't working I am up around 6/6.30
If she is on a day 5/5.30
If she is working a night and won't be home until 8am .... 7.45

How long does the drive home from the Docklands take? Guessing a fair bit longer depending on what time you leave.

My wife works at the RSCH, so the alarm goes off at 4.45am. She starts at 5.30 every week day, so I get up at the same time to do packed lunches, have breakfast, watch TV for a bit etc. Get my eldest son out of bed at 6 - he's out the door at 6.55 to get the bus to school, then I get my youngest son up at 7 and get him sorted for school. Leave home at 8.15, drop him off & get to work for 8.45. Start at 9am.
Weekends we get a lie in until 7....before heading off to football & cricket training / matches.

I get up at 04:45, to start work at 06:00.
Fine in the summer, but bloody grim this time of year, even the foxes are yawning when I go to work :)

Whenever I want, now I'm retired. I worked for 50 years so I've earned that choice.
When I was working, it was 6am.
