What the hell has happened to Santos?

I'm delighted Santos appears to be out of the picture.
He's a total liability- wins a few headers, then just when you're thinking he looks handy, he fouls an opponent in a really stupid position, or gives a horrendously short pass to someone (usually the keeper), dropping us in a whole host of trouble.
It always struck me that Santos was a panic signing by McGhee because nobody else wanted to come to the club, and he wanted it to look like they were doing something rather than nothing.
I couldn't believe it at the time when they said we'd given him a year's contract. You only have to look at the comments from fans of all his previous clubs to realise what a defensive liability he is (not that the rest of our defence are exactly watertight at the moment, but I cannot see in a million years what Santos would do to rectify the problem).
