Post-it notes. They're bloody brilliant, aren't they!?

I would be royally screwed without my little yellow companions continuously reminding me what pile of paper is what and WHY i've coloured THAT particular number blue.

So, what tedious (preferably, work related) item helps YOU.

My colleague who doubles up as our tea person. He really is a tedious bore, but he brings us tea and so for that reason he is truly indespensible

Not really an "item" but what helps my working day is the daily conversation with my colleagues explaining various idiosycrasies of English culture and language.

I work in a team of 5 and am the only English person; 1 Czech, 1 Romainian, 1 Saffa and 1 Chinaman. Yesterday was the difference between breakast/lunch/dinner and breakfast/dinner/tea (i am of the former persuassion).
