In a pile of football shirts
I'd rather see Man U stuff the Swans than Arsenal.

The only position in which El Abd looks anything like reasonable is centre half, I'll agree with that. But I'm not sure he'd be my first choice. Butters is slow, but he's been doing pretty well. I thought he had a bit of a shocker on Saturday, but other than that he's been alright this season. I think he'll have to fight hard to keep Lynch or Hinsh out the team in the long term, but why would you play El Abd over him?

Pace.We play 2 deep due to butters lack of pace.

Christ on a bike, and to think that Wilkins gets slagged off for tinkering with the team.

he gets slagged off for tampering with a winning team - not one that has capitulated in the last two games

I would have played Hinshelwood at centre back but he is back at the Drs with a poorly knee again after playing just a couple of games. I think we need some players with some pce so that we can scare the opposition, or close them down more quickly. Saturday we looked like a team of plodders rather than fast nippy professional footballers!
