In the left corner of the photo you can just make out the A-z board that was used for the half time results. A guy used to put the score against each letter and you’d then check the match list in your programme to see which match was A, B etc. You had to look quickly because the kids on the other side of the wall thought it funny to move the numbers around.

In the very early 60s a bloke in a white coat used to go round after half time and whitewash the scores on the wall around the pitch (against the letters)
