I would agree with that, it's a schame both Sturridge and Welbeck offer little other than a goald threat. I used to think Sturridge was the more complete young striker out of those two but watching him more recently he seems to have a run round like a headless chicken syndrom unless given the ball directly in front of goal.
The list makes pretty depressing reading IMO, if we are to get anywhere Rooney really needs to up his game in an England shirt.
Sturridge often gets played out of position on the wing by Chelsea to acommodate Didier Drogba. He's a natural striker who a few months ago I thought could be one of the stars of Euro 2012.
There aren't that many good English strikers about. Leon Best can't get in the team at Newcastle and Darren Bent looks like he'll still be injured.
