Probably the 1966 World Cup Final, but, honourable mentions to:
- Jesse Owens multiple golds at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
- Jim Laker's 19 wickets against the Aussies

I'd go for 3rd Test in the Ashes in 1981 or the Rugby World Cup final 2003

World Cup Final 1966 - although I did watch it live on a Rediffusion TV my dad got for the occasion. He took it back to the shop after.

Watching Bobby Moore wiping the mud from his hands before shaking HM's hand and collecting the Cup.

I'm with you on that one.
When they scored their second goal the only thing that kept the television from going through the front room window was the knowledge that it was only rented :lolol:

I would love to have been there

2008 Brazillian F1 Grand Prix - Lewis Hamilton clinching the championship on the last corner, of the last lap of the last race of the year. Fantastic scenes!

Abort, retry, fail
Watching Wilkinson drop that ball over the posts, knowing that we had secured the trophy, was one of the greatest moments of my life (sporting wise). How much better would it have been if I had traded drink fuelled orgy with the Brighton rugby club in The Bugle for Sydney? A lot!
