What Sporting Moment Do You WISH You'd Witnessed Live?

Noting the thread about people's favourite sporting moment that they have witnessed live, I started thinking about this question.

If you could pick ONE, and only one, sporting moment or event from any time and place to have witnessed live, what would it be?

I considered Doncaster, I considered Hereford, I considered Wembley in 1966 or 1983, but ultimately I'd go for Kinshasa, Zaire, on October 30th 1974.

hagler v hearns, nine minutes of mayhem.

That would have been bloody brilliant to see as well, and from a pure action POV I'd have to say Gatti vs. Ward I, particularly the legendary 9th round.

Damn, I know I said only one choice, but it's impossible.

Seen it and love it.

I love boxing as a whole, all of the different styles of fighter you see, but you can't beat a good slugfest.

its one of my ambitions to see a real 'superfight' , either in vegas or at madison square garden with mike buffer as ring announcer , to be honest i think the only one out there at the moment is pacquiao v mayweather, i think its hard to top the eighties as an era for superfights and boxers as household names though.

Same here.

Although I wasn't born until 1984, I grew up watching boxing and have a great appreciation for it from all eras. I'd love to go to one of those huge superfights, and I think you're right when you say that Pacquiao-Mayweather is the only one out there right now (I'd pick Pacquiao to win, btw).

i was ringside for nigel benn v gerald mclellan, obviously the subsequent events sour the memory a bit but it was a fantatstic atmosphere and occasion, i had tickets for up in the gods but managed to sneak ringside and stand, it was west ham v chelsea that day and i had been to that and drinking all afternoon, i was lagging and climbed in the ring afterwards , only to be unceremoniously thrown out :lolol:
