John Pemberton has now turned them down. Also Gary waddock has distanced himself from the job. Is there something sinister going on in the background ?

Suspect that people are just not sure that the club is properly sustainable and once rumours start.......................................

Its the Law in Crawley that to live there you must be a Grandad at the age of 25 or they wont let you in

They should give it to Kuipers.

Back in Sussex
I did wonder if McGhee might be in the running due to him still being based in Sussex. I know some Rovers fans here are a bit worried.

This is especially funny because the poster is from Horley. It's like someone from Whitehawk calling Moulsecoumb chavvy

Not really. Horley is plain ordinary rather than especially chavvy. Mind you, the anti-Crawley sentiment from some people on here is utterly cringeworthy.

Its a Redhill thing for me Simster, not sure why but growing up there was always a hatred of Crawley from people in Redhill hence my engrained prejudice towards Crawley, saying that Redhill was/is a shithole, perhaps both towns hated each other because it was like looking in a mirror lol

Its simply a club with no history, no real support despite recent success,.... and little prospects in the medium term..... my view though.

I live in Reigate, so know all too well what people in the area think of Redhill, and it is a bit pikeyish. That said, it has a great market and is being nicely redeveloped at the moment too. And the resident tramp is always dressed head to toe in Norwich City clobber, which I think is a nice quirky touch.

Saw a fella on the trian this morning, he had one of those over size 'fiddy' rapper hats on, gold medal thing on the brim, Prada sunnies, serious Adidas basketball shoes, iPhone with big 'phones, plenty of bling jewellery, carrying a Makita drill case, and wearing a Corinthian Casuals football shirt.

Yes really. I'm from up that way and Horley is like a little Crawley nestling just to the north of Gatwick, but because it's in Surrey likes to think of it's self as better. Believe me, i've known some right shits from Horley.

I tend to agree, I think also that most people ie potential managers feel that evans has taken Crawley as far as they can go on there current fan base and ground size. THey might as well give it to the fella that took over after evans left.
