Ok so the team are on a losing streak and us as supporters seem to have various views on how to change this. what would be your suggestions on how to turn this bad run around.

Try and keep 11 players on the pitch at all times.

Score a few more goals.

Stop letting so many goals in.

It's not exactly rocket science, is it?

We need better goal celebrations, and we need more goal celebrations.

Do you thing 'arry will let Crouchy come down and give the lads a masterclass?

A decent coaching setup. Simples.

Appointed a good manager. Kept the same shit coaches.

Be able to pick the best eleven on a consistent basis.

The one time we got close to this we won the match by playing very well.

This is true. Gillingham was arguably the first time we had our best possible team out from the start, and we looked fantastic first half. Slade has been a bit unlucky with this.

This is an often repeated refrain... but where is there a single scrap of evidence to suggest that Russell Slade is unhappy with the coaching set up?

He knows it is HIS job and reputation on the line... he would change the coaching team if he felt it would help.

I do sorta wish we would get rid of the coaching set up, JUST to see if it really has been the thing holding us back for the last 100 years, as suggested by some.

My big issue is the clumsy slow defenders. I'd ship out Virgo and Elphick, bring a seasoned pro in and play him with Tunnicliffe, get another striker and bob's yer uncle and we will climb the table. It is this simple.

Get new coaches in, gives a fresh approach as the current approach isnt working

Sort out the discipline - its ruining our chances of winining games with only 10 or less players on the pitch

Take the captaincy away from Virgo

Keep the ball on the deck. Make the defence give the ball to Dicker and Crofts instead of hoofing it forward

Get the balls out wide to Bennett and Davies so they can get crosses in.

Utilise set pieces - time and time again free kicks in dangerous positions float harmlessly into the stand or hit the first man/wall

Stop Forster chasing long balls into the corners as he normally wins them, crosses them in the box and no one is in the box to put them in - get the wingers to do this job

Make Dickinson into a goal poacher - time and time again he strolls around the edge/outside of box and doesnt shift himself to get into the box to get tap ins

Get McNulty fit

Get an experienced centre back in to coach our youthful back line

My big issue is that when I've seen us play we're too slow attacking, especially counter attacking. There are times when we're under the kosh, one of our defenders gets it to our right back who looks up and we're all in our own area, he runs forward a bit, gets to the half way line, opponents still making their way back, and there's no outlet, he has to wait for the rest of the team to push up the field.

As for the coaches, I wouldn't be sad to see them go, but don't know if they are the problem. I am rather disconcerted by the fact it seems like "will work with the current set up" has been trumpetted as a major asset, a deal breaker, in potential managers for the last 7-8years.

Surely the coaching set up includes Slade and as he is the manager he must be in control of the coaching. If the Booker and White are sacked Slade must go as well. If the team don't win their next two home games then Bloom has to weald the axe.

stop people getting sent off, stop geting ppl injured, keep a consistent first 11 as much as possible, quick passing on the ground, good quick movement, better use of set pieces and corners, at least try and win the second ball sometimes, need leaders on the pitch.....more vocal...gee the team up when its needed, score more goals than the opposition............i think that should do it!!!

Not sure about the coaching side of things but if this season doesnt improve i really think its time to change....not necessarily saying slade should go but he should bring in his own coaching team.

Despite a lot of signings in the summer most of them have turned out to not be any great improvement on what we had before, so the squad still seems fairly thin. We need to continue to address this, I think we have to be ruthless with players who aren't good enough whether they've only been here a few months or for years. Looking at it ruthlessly there's probably only 9 or 10 you'd really want in a promotion chasing squad, never mind the team.

We need a defensive coach, that much is obvious. Whether Dean White and Bob Booker are more capable than appearances would suggest none of us truly know, but it does seems slightly surreal that we could be going into a state of the art stadium and fielding a team coached by those two.
